Overview The investment objective of the Excel China Fund is to seek long-term superior growth of capital by investing approximately 90% of its assets in equity securities of companies located in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Far East countries. The balance of the Fund's assets will be invested in Canadian equity securities which focus on companies doing business in the China region.

The balance of the Fund's assets will be invested in Canadian equity securities that focus on companies doing business in China, debt securities of Canadian issuers, derivatives (futures, options and forward contracts) and cash or cash equivalents. In addition, the portfolio advisor will employ a wide range of fundamental analysis including growth factors, risk factors, value factors and market factors in identifying superior companies. The portfolio advisor may invest in American or global depository receipts, eurobonds, euro convertible bonds or other securities issued by China issuers in the international capital markets, debt securities of foreign issuers, cash and cash equivalents. The portfolio advisor may use index futures, forward contracts options and futures for investment or hedging purposes.
