Sick Kids Foundation - Bobby and Tara Disenhouse Fund

This fund was launched by Nathan and Elaine Disenhouse, in honour of their two children who were both born with a rare neurological disease. Over the past year, this fund has helped raise $150,000 in support of Neurological Research at The Hospital for Sick Children. The Sick Kids Foundation and the Bobby & Tara Disenhouse Fund enable research and care that is vital to the lives of so many children. On Sunday August 19th 2007 at Yonge & Dundas Square in Toronto, Panorama India, with the support of the Consulate General of India, celebrated the 60th Anniversary of India's Independence Day. The festivities began with a 2 KM parade through the streets of downtown Toronto, and culminated in a day long festival of music, dance, food and fun. Various Indo-Canadian cultural associations and groups, representing various states, regions, and parts of India, participated in the magnificent celebration.
